I am a student at XXXXXX and I am in year XXXXXX. I want to ask you if you think learning a language in school is important. I used to learn XXXXXX but gave it up because XXXXXX.
I think that learning a language other than your first one in schools is very important because when you are older the languages that are spoken now will have spread further across the world so future jobs may require you to know another language.
I also think that language learning helps you get on with other people and that this would help avoid racism and terrorism.
